About us
Mr. Pat is the heart, soul, and voice of the reviews. A lifelong horror fan, he has written one every day of October since 2010, never missing a season. His style blends humor, sinister wit, and the dry sarcasm of “Earth’s Greatest City” — Toledo, Ohio. Every review is judged on the infamous “Dr. Chainsaws” scale, ranked from 1 to 10. For Mr. Pat, this tradition is not work but devotion, a yearly act of love and a tribute to everyday fans who find joy in a good scare. His words echo long after the credits roll, like the whine of a chainsaw in the dark.
Ravenhurst is the caretaker. A tall Texan with a twang in his voice, a rugged streak, and a taste for classic monsters, he keeps the gears of the site turning. When Mr. Pat finishes a review, Ravenhurst edits and adds the photos and GIFs, and posts it for the world to enjoy. He also sets the stage on Instagram and X. With a steady hand and an eye for detail, he ensures the reels keep spinning and the stories reach their audience, always working from the shadows of the graveyard.
Together, they are two caretakers of horror, keeping October alive one movie scream at a time.
